American music is a relatively recent artform... from the mix of populations that made up America you could say. When I compare it to English folk or Scottish folk I find it slightly..... well more fun or something.. but I suppose you do get some real country music crooners moaning a lot of sad stuff.. however the music is slightly more upbeat or something
